Open the fundraiser you want to support, go to its Team fundraising section and click Create Team Fundraiser. You then create your own page, and everything it raises counts toward the main fundraiser's total. These were previously called connected fundraisers.
Create a team fundraiser
- Open the fundraiser you want to raise money for.
- Go to the Team fundraising section and click Create Team Fundraiser.
- Add your own title, story and image, then publish.
The button appears only while the organizer allows it. If you cannot find it, they have switched team fundraising off, and the button is hidden for everyone.
What your page will look like
A team fundraiser is also called a supporting fundraiser. It carries a banner at the top: “This is a supporting fundraiser. All contributions will go to the main fundraiser.” Beside it is a Go to main fundraiser button, so anyone who lands on your page can open the cause you are raising for.
If the main fundraiser is removed later, your page shows “The main fundraiser has been removed. This supporting page is no longer accepting donations.” and stops taking donations.
What you cannot set yourself
The Beneficiary is the main fundraiser's beneficiary, so you cannot set your own. Your page also uses the main fundraiser's currency. You are shown as the organizer of your own team fundraiser.
